• Pet waste can be a primary source of bacteria (such as E. coli and Salmonella), parasites (Giardia), and viruses in our waterways.
• When walking your pet, remember to pick up the waste and dispose of it properly. Flushing pet waste is the best disposal method but placing it in household or park waste containers is an alternative. 

The City of Gardendale offers a dog park located at the Kenneth A. Clemons Recreational Park, 2191 Fieldstown Road. Waste bags and disposal stations are located at the Bark Park.
