Alvin Currington

District III

Alvin Currington was elected to the City Council in 2008 and is currently serving his third term representing the citizens of District III. Alvin and his wife, Joanna Nichols Currington, make their home in the Castle Pines community in Gardendale. They have three sons and one daughter, Nicholas, Zachary, Joseph and Rose.

Alvin is employed as a System Analyst / Network Specialist in the Information Systems Department with Thompson Caterpillar.

Alvin serves as Council President and represents the Council on the Planning and Zoning Board.

He is a member of the Gardendale Historical Society and the Gardendale Chamber of Commerce

Alvin and his family attend Gardendale First Baptist Church.
