The Gardendale Police Department
was created on July 7, 1955. Since its beginning
to today, the members of the department work very
diligently to provide professional law enforcement
services to the citizens of Gardendale and maintain
one of the lowest crime rates in Jefferson County.

In order to keep the public informed on the location of convicted sex offenders,
the Gardendale Police Department maintains a sex offender notification procedure
and registry through Watch
Systems and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
