Luman Harris Park is home to the Gardendale Girls Softball program and is governed by the Gardendale Girls Softball Association Board of Directors and the City of Gardendale Parks and Recreation Board. The program wouldn't be as successful as it is without the countless hours these and other volunteers put into making the program what it is today. It is located off Pineywood Road on Park Street, across from Pineywood Baptist Church, about a quarter-mile south of Tarrant Road and one mile north of the intersection of U.S. Highway 31 and Pineywood Road at the city's southern boundary.
