Under the direction of the Head Librarian, Connie Smith, the Gardendale-Martha Moore Library is a 7,730 square-foot building that offers a meeting room, reading porch, typing rooms, and computers for public use as well as DVDs, audiobooks and books for check out.
Our Library is named for the city's first librarian, Mrs. Martha Moore, who oversaw the growth from a one-room facility to today's state-of-the-art research and learning center.

Toddler Time Toddler Time is a lap-sit storytime for children ages three and under. It focuses on stories, finger plays, action songs, and rhymes that are shared with the toddlers and the adults who bring them. During each program, toddler's will be introduced to first Spanish words, focusing on numbers & colors. The goal is to develop and nurture a child's love of books, and to prepare children for a family storytime experience.
