WHAT IS SPIN?
Spinning is an indoor cycling program that is based on real road cycling and cutting edge training principles.

WHO CAN SPIN?
Spin is designed for people of all ages and fitness level abilities. There is no competition in spinning. Everyone can set their own level of intensity. New spinners should spin at a low level of intensity. It is a non impact sport easy on the body and joints.

WHAT DO I NEED FOR SPIN CLASS?
Clothing that will help keep you cool. Wear stiff soled athletic shoes or cycling shoes.
Bring a work out towel (hand towel), bottle of water, (optional) heart rate monitor. The heart rate monitor is a good way to control/measure the intensity of your workout. Gel seats are provided but feel free to bring your own.

WILL I BURN CALORIES?
No two people are the same but as a general rule; you can expect about 500 calories per 40 minute class, maybe more depending on the level of intensity.

WHAT WILL SPINNING DO FOR ME?
The spinning class tones and helps to build longer, leaner muscles. Lean muscle helps to burn fat. Exercise along with nutrition is two keys to a healthier lifestyle.

WILL SPIN MAKE ME SORE?
You can expect to be sore. Please Do Not Quit! After about 3 classes most people find the soreness to subside. The benefit is definitely worth it.

WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE FOR SPIN?

Important!
 First time spinners must arrive 15 minutes before class time so we can properly set you up on a bike.

WHAT IS THE COST?
$3.00 per class or Pre-Payment Cards are available:
10 classes - $30.00 or
20 classes - $60.00
(This cost applies to Civic Center members and non-members alike)


You can pay as you spin or you can prepay for one month to guarantee a bike.
Bikes are on a first come first serve basis and cannot be saved for others.
You must sign in at the front desk. Prepays will complete a payment slip and make payments in the Spin Room. If you prepay and happen to miss a class, you can make it up at any time in any class during the same month that it was missed. You cannot carry over to the next month.
